Beneath a photograph of angelic blond Sarah Coit, her dad Lynde Coit told Raul Barrera that when he killed the beautiful 23-year-old last year it left “a tremendous hole” in his life and in the lives of “her mother and brothers, her grandparents, and her friends and co-workers, who filled two churches to memorialize her.”
“This wasn’t any accident — this was a great life, deliberately taken, and that is devastating,” said the Greenwich, Conn., energy financier in deep, measured tones.
“It leaves an awful emotional burden, which we will carry always.
“I identified Sarah’s body in the basement of the morgue. I saw the look on her face of terror. That will haunt me for the rest of my life.
It will haunt the rest of our family.”
